The Family Peace and Women Empowerment Initiative (FAPWEI) has positively impacted the lives of 25 vulnerable women, including widows, single mothers, and women facing economic hardship, through a targeted empowerment project focused on sustainability and self-reliance.

In many communities, women disproportionately carry the burden of poverty and caregiving, often with limited access to education or financial independence. To address these systemic barriers, FAPWEI launched a program combining immediate relief, skill development, and microenterprise support.

Each of the 25 women selected for this cohort received essential food supplies and clothing to alleviate short-term hardship. These practical items ensured that their most basic needs were met while they focused on longer-term solutions.

Participants were also given modest financial support to help with pressing household expenses—many of them caring for children or elderly relatives.

But the true transformation came through empowerment.

FAPWEI organized hands-on vocational training in areas such as tailoring, baking, soap-making, and trading. After completing the sessions, each woman was presented with a personalized start-up kit, including the basic tools and materials required to launch a small business in her field of training.

This initiative wasn’t just about handouts—it was about hand-ups, equipping women to rise above economic limitations with confidence, dignity, and direction.
