In line with our mission to foster inclusive growth and social equity, the Family Peace and Women Empowerment Initiative (FAPWEI) launched a critical education support project in Abuja, Nigeria, to reduce school dropout rates among vulnerable children.

Between 2021 and 2024, over 120 pupils from orphaned, displaced, or economically disadvantaged backgrounds have received school fee support, ensuring they remain enrolled in school. The intervention primarily targeted underserved areas of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), where access to consistent education is threatened by poverty and systemic barriers.

To complement tuition coverage, FAPWEI also provided over 90 new school uniforms to children whose families could not afford basic educational supplies. For many, this was their first-ever properly fitted school uniform, restoring dignity, boosting self-esteem, and encouraging full participation in school activities.

This initiative aligns with our broader mission to empower women, support families, and build peaceful, educated communities. Education is one of the most effective tools for breaking the cycle of poverty, and our program is designed to create long-term impact by investing in the next generation.
